Australian Machinery Manufacturing Award 2022

Trimatt Systems took out the Australian Machinery Manufacturing Award – SME, at the 2022 APPMA Awards of Excellence held at the Auspack 2022 event, Melbourne May 2022.

The Cardline 7000 was designed and is manufactured in Melbourne by Trimatt, and has been exported all over the region, with machines going into a number of countries, including Taiwan, China and India.

The Australian Machinery Manufacturing Award – SME was a new award from APPMA, given to companies with a turnover below $10m.

Johnson said, “I am thrilled with the award. The team at Trimatt have all contributed to the success of the CardLine, it offers a new revenue option for print businesses. To have the judges single out the machine and give it the top award is superb.”

CardLine is the solution for attaching and matching cards, booklets and vouchers to carriers, with CR80, PIO, SIM Cards, Gift cards, loyalty cards and others all able to be automated, to help improve efficiency and accuracy.

Trimatt has developed its own digital gluing and folding techniques to deliver fully integrated card packaging. The company says this process gives the ability to provide necessary product security and an attractive decorative look to the final product, all ready for POS or other means of distribution.

The Trimatt ValidForm inspection system automatically captures all variable data for the card and carrier to ensure production outcomes are 100 per cent validated.

The APPMA Awards of Excellence is the national awards programme for Australia’s packaging and processing industry, recognising excellence, innovation, leadership and best practice.

APPMA chairman Mark Dingley said, “Winners in each of the eight categories were announced in front of a sold-out room, which was the perfect way to celebrate the best in Australia’s manufacturing industry. After being postponed from last year, the much-anticipated event was a resounding success and wonderful celebration of the industry’s achievements.”

The Trimatt Systems factory in Kilsyth, Victoria engineers and manufactures process automation machinery. Trimatt specialise in custom automation machinery and industrial print systems.
